SHOTOKAN KARATE

 Shotokan believes in Striking first and striking hard- I teach a Hard & Fast System -developed to attack as soon as the threat has been assessed or initiated.  

1.  "Shotokan training is usually divided into three parts: kihon (basics), kata (forms or patterns of moves), and kumite (sparring). Techniques in kihon and kata are characterised by deep, long stances that provide stability, enable powerful movements, and strengthen the legs. Shotokan is regarded as a dynamic martial art as it develops anaerobic, powerful techniques as well as developing speed. Initially strength and power are demonstrated instead of slower, more flowing motions. Those who progress to brown and black belt level develop a much more fluid style that incorporates grappling, throwing and some standing joint locking techniques, which can be found even in basic kata.[6] Kumite (fighting) techniques are practiced in the kihon and kata and developed from basic to advanced levels with an opponent."~Wikipedia 

Our system has been modernized as  a  well-rounded form of mixed martial arts. I have taken the traditional forms and incorporated them with other fighting styles such as Cat-Ching-Do, a military combatives system, kickboxing & Muay Thai, and grappling. This offers the students as direct line the lineage and history of the Okinawan and Japanese cultures and their Hard Disciplines.

This is truly advanced level system, designed to Rapidly Assault your opponent and then Make a split  decision as to what 

LEVEL Of FORCE must be applied to disable your attacker

1. Situational Awareness: Here we will discuss the importance of being constantly situationally aware and to be vigilantly aware of your surroundings 
2. Human Anatomy: Crown of Skull, Temple, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Carotid Artery, Jugular Vein, Mandibular Nerve, Submandibular Gland, Neck and Trachea, Subclavicular Notch, Axillary, Joint manipulation and locks of the Shoulder, wrist, elbow, knee, and ankle. Groin- penis and scrotum, Femoral artery, Knees, Achilles, Ankle.
3. Tools and On-hand. Weapons: Mind, Voice, Keys, Cell Phone, pens, knives, etc.
4. Distancing: Creating safe distance and space with the techniques and information provided in a tactical and safe way.
5. RAT Striking: Headbutt, Finger Strikes, Palm-heel Strikes, Knee Strikes, Elbow Strikes, Punching, Kicking, Weapons such as  your phone , keys, etc...
